Planning: LRTP update
Lancaster County Planning Commission

2009-2012 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and
2009-2035 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)

The TIP is a listing of federal, state, and some locally/privately funded highway, bridge, transit and miscellaneous transportation projects that are expected to move into/through the project development process over the next four years.

The LRTP is the County's federally required Plan as well as the Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan's Transportation Element.

A 30 day public review and comment period was held on both documents as well as two public meetings on May 22, 2008.  Comments received at the meeting and during the 30 day public review/comment period and responses to these comments are summarized in Appendix F of the LRTP.

Both the TIP and LRTP were adopted by the Lancaster County Transportation Coordinating Committee on June 23, 2008.  Adoption of the LRTP by the Lancaster County Commissioners as a functional element of the County's Comprehensive Plan occurred on October 22, 2008.
